My research interests are black culture and sexual politics, visual art/culture and pornography, hip hop aesthetics, and black feminism. My dissertation will investigate the visual representation/presentation of black female sexuality in pornography and erotica spanning the 20th century, primarily in the United States but connecting to the African Diaspora.
