This is what I managed to document; some has been reconstructed due to missing entries or illegible writing on a coach… some traces are courtesy of receipts!!! Day 0 Thu Nov 28

Flight to Delhi.
Day 1 Fri Nov 29 Arrive Delhi & meet Clare; briefing; New Delhi.
Day 2 Sat Nov 30 Old Delhi; Demolition and Demonstration; train to Jaipur; puppet show.
Day 3 Sun Dec 1 Palace of Winds façade; astronomy; City Palace of textiles/clothes; Amber Palace; dinner with dance, puppets, turbans; rickshaw racing.
Day 4 Mon Dec 2 Deserted Fatehpur Sikri with M.A.Khaaaaaaaan, multi-denominational decoration; Agra Fort and the 360 views of Taj Mahal.
Day 5 Tue Dec 3 Early Taj Mahal; train to Allahabad.
Day 6 Wed Dec 4 Cockroach omelette for Chris; drive to Mirzapur: Thugee Temple; board boats on Ganges beside French.
Day 7 Thu Dec 5 Chunar & Fort; corpses by campsite.
Day 8 Fri Dec 6 Palace of Ramnagar (Miss Haversham's House); groping; Varanasi; leave boats and transfer to hotel; traditional dance in hotel room.
Day 9 Sat Dec 7 Buddha's enlightenment; ruined monasteries; deer park; museum (4-lion column); silk factory; temple of Mother India; ghats by dusk.
Day 10 Sun Dec 8 Drive to Nepal border; picnic lunch with sliced cheese; book into the Hotel Yeti; drinks at the staff bar.
Day 11 Mon Dec 9 Hotel Yeti to Chitwan; Jungle Walks & rhinos.
Day 12 Tue Dec 10 River trip (crocodiles, peacocks); elephant breeding centre; elephant bathing; elephant safari; stick dancing; after-dinner rave.
Day 13 Wed Dec 11 Early-morning bird watching; windy road up into Himalayas; picnic lunch by glacial river; arrive Kathmandu at mansion-hotel.
Day 14 Thu Dec 12 Kathmandu orientation starting in Thamel; free time afternoon (Patan) and evening meal (Mexican and cake shop).
Day 15 Fri Dec 13 Everest flight; Pashupatinath to witness cremation by ghat; Bodnath stupa; the gentle call of Frances to lunch; free afternoon (shopping in Kathmandu); Kilroy's for Gill's birthday.
Day 16 Sat Dec 14 Goodbye to Frances, Caro, Sue, Andy, Chris; more shopping; Graham's camera walks; Kathmandu International airport security; Kathmandu to Abu Dhabi; airport shopping.
Day 17 Sun Dec 15 Abu Dhabi to LHR.
