In August 2001 I went to a classic car show at Breamore House, near Fordingbridge, Hampshire UK. On the Gallery page there are pictures of a selection of Rovers at the show. One in particular attracted my attention. It was an SD1 - a 1984 Vanden Plas EFi. I was struck by its almost perfect condition. It looked like it had just come out of the showroom. I got talking to the owner who had bought it in March 2000 with just 6500 miles on the clock! It had been in a private car collection unused since 1985 or 1986. Then it was sold to Rimmer Bros in 1994 who kept it in their showroom until it was sold in March 2000. It has been in use since April 2000 as an every day car.
Two months after first seeing the car I bought it in October 2001 for use as my everyday car. Here are some pictures taken in the summer of 2000. There are a couple more on the Gallery page taken at the car show. I'll put some more up to date pictures on this page as soon as I can.
